Tether Holdings Ltd., a prominent stablecoin issuer, has recently announced a partnership with a crypto payments provider to promote blockchain education in South Africa. This collaboration aims to not only showcase the benefits of stablecoin payments but also to build trust in digital financial solutions.

Building Trust in Digital Financial Solutions

Tether Holdings Ltd. has partnered with Xion Global to advance blockchain education in South Africa. The initiative will provide educational resources such as videos, case studies, and interactions with industry leaders, with a focus on cryptocurrency payments. The goal of the partnership is to demonstrate the advantages of stablecoin payments and to build trust in digital financial solutions.

In a recent statement, Tether emphasized that this initiative aligns with their broader mission to make digital asset education accessible to everyone. Previously, the stablecoin issuer sponsored the Africa Tech Summit and the African Bitcoin Conference in Ghana and collaborated with Bitnob to educate students at Ghanaian universities.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino commented on the latest educational collaboration focused on Africa:

“We are excited about this alliance with Xion Global, which represents a significant step in our commitment to global digital education and the informed use of cryptocurrencies. This partnership will open new opportunities for financial inclusion and economic empowerment in South Africa.”

Aeryn Quarmby, COO of Xion Global, expressed hope that the collaboration with Tether would help increase South Africans’ understanding of stablecoin payments. Quarmby added that the partnership aims to make digital transactions “as intuitive and reliable as traditional methods.”
